Founder Bashir Maan (Late)
CBE (22 October 1926 – 20 December 2019)He was the founder and first Convenor of Muslim Council of Scotland. He was also a Pakistani-Scottish politician, businessman, judge, community worker and writer. In 1970 he became the first Muslim to be elected to a representative office in the United Kingdom, serving as a Labour Party councillor for the Kingston ward of the City of Glasgow Corporation. He served the Scottish community tirelessly. May Allah almighty bless him a place in Jannat Alfirdos Ameen
